The US Green Building Council has certified the recently-completed regional headquarters for Georgia Power Company in downtown Savannah, GA as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum level structure. This is the highest level of award given for energy and resource conservation and the first such structure in south Georgia to receive it.
28 Abercorn is the combination of historic preservation and energy conservation at the highest possible level. The existing building was constructed circa 1920 as one of Savannah’s original automobile show rooms, and is being rehabilitated into the regional headquarters for Georgia Power Company.
