HILL HALL
Nearly destroyed in a tragic fire, the 107 year-old symbol of Savannah State University's history as a predominantly black college was faithfully restored. Details of the orginal construction had been previously documented by the firm and were painstakingly recreated. The result was a beautiful phoenix that rose from her ashes, reborn as an icon for the campus.
Recipient of the 2009 Excellence in Rehabilitation award from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
